As Catholic Christians, we have a tradition of celebrating the Feast of All Saints on November 1st of each year.
So it is fitting that at St. Bernard Parish, the week leading up to Halloween has been a celebration in preparation of not just "All Hallows' Eve", but a week of preparation for the traditional Mass of Remembrance. This year's Mass of Remembrance will be Saturday, November 5th, 2011.
Wauwatosa Catholic School children kicked off Sunday, October 23rd at noon with a great Halloween Party sponsored by the Home & School Association. Classrooms were busy on Friday, October 28th with students parading in costumes throughout the gym at the school.
On Sunday, October 23rd and Monday, October 24th, students in St. Pius X and St. Bernard Religious Education met, learned, and prayed on this same topic. They will enjoy a Fall Break day on Sunday, October 30th and Monday, October 31st.
St. Bernard Parish welcomes community members who have lost loved ones to attend this year's 4pm Mass of Remembrance on Saturday, November 5th.
