Kelsey McLennon has lived in Wauwatosa with her two siblings and parents for her entire life. When not busy with school, she enjoys dancing, running, and spending time with friends. She is a sophomore at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, where she is involved in track, cross country, Latin club, and Irish club.
Dreams Really Can Come True
In about a month my poms team, Wauwatosa Esprit Pom and Dance, and I are going to the happiest place on earth to dance down Main Street USA. Needless to say I’m really excited.
Some people may think it’s slightly ridiculous that I have already started thinking about what I’m going to pack. But I just can’t help myself.
At a poms competition this summer, our team earned the right to go to Disney World along with 9 other teams and a few selected individuals. We will put on a show at Disney World and march in the parade. We’re really lucky to have this opportunity, especially because the company that organizes the competitions and this whole thing, Badgerette Pom Pon Inc., is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year so it's going to be extra special!
I’m slightly concerned about my missing school, but let’s be honest I think I can survive missing a few days to go to Florida. Hopefully my math book won't get ruined on Splash Mountain!
We’ve been doing lots of fundraisers lately and working very hard to pay for this trip and we are all extremely excited to see our dreams come true.
