Cash in -- vote for our new pool!

Your community needs you – and your family and friends, too.  Help the Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool (FOHPP) win $50,000 for the new TOSA Pool at Hoyt Park.

The pool will open this year on Memorial Day weekend.  Although fundraising has been going well, FOHPP still needs money to pay for diving boards, deck furniture, etc.

For four months, FOHPP has applied to Pepsi Refresh for a chance to mobilize its supporters to win $50,000.  We cleared the first hurdle, but winning the $50,000 will take lots of community support.  Vote online today – and all January long.  The project that gets the most votes wins.

It will take just a minute to vote for FOHPP each day until January 31, 2011.  Anyone age 13 and older can vote, so (almost) everyone in your family can help.

To vote for “Revive the heart of our community by restoring a 100 year old park and pool” Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool (FOHPP), go to www.RefreshEverything.com/fohpp.

1.    Click on “Vote for this idea.”

2.    Check the “I’m new here” box, then click on “sign in.”

3.    Enter your first and last name and e-mail address.

4.    Create a password (6-10 characters).

5.    Enter your birth date.

6.    Enter the text you see in the box.

7.    Click “done,” and you are ready to vote.

8.    Some browsers will take you back to the home page.  If this happens, go back to www.RefreshEverything.com/fohpp to find FOHPP and vote.

9.    Click on “vote for this idea” on the right side of the page.

After casting your first vote, voting each day is even easier:  go to www.RefreshEverything.com/fohpp (make it a "Favorite" on your web browser), enter your name and password to log in, enter the text you see in the box, and then click on “vote for this idea.”

Please vote every day in January.  The project that gets the most votes wins – and your vote counts each day you vote.  You can spread the word by clicking on the Facebook or Twitter icons to share the idea with your friends.

As an added incentive, FOHPP will be raffling off Guest Passes to the TOSA Pool for the people who vote for FOHPP most often during January.

Let’s vote.  In this election, everyone in Wauwatosa will win.
