Kelsey McLennon has lived in Wauwatosa with her two siblings and parents for her entire life. When not busy with school, she enjoys dancing, running, and spending time with friends. She is a sophomore at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, where she is involved in track, cross country, Latin club, and Irish club.
As I’m sure most of you know, a new frozen yogurt place Yo Mama, opened this past weekend where Drew’s used to be in the Village. I’ve already gone there three times in the last three days. Whoops. Yogurt is healthy, right?
So far, my favorite flavor is mango tart and then cake batter. It’s nice that I can make myself a combination of the two because it is self-serve. They have a large variety of toppings including candy, cereal, fresh fruit and hot fudge. Pricing is based on weight.
I spent last week in sweltering Kentucky with a group (Tosa Trio Summer Outreach) from my church working with the Appalachian Service Project (ASP). On ASP we work to make the homes of some of the poorest people in the country down in Appalachia warmer, safer, and dryer.
This was my second time going on a service trip, and even though both of my experiences were very similar in content, I have gotten different things out of the opportunity both times and loved it both times! I know that we are supposed to be there to give, but you definitely get back more than you give.
