For the past few years now, I’ve had a slight obsession. Well, I’ll be honest, it’s actually a pretty major obsession. And it really all starts with four words…
“You’re a wizard, Harry”
That’s right. It’s Harry Potter.
Now, if you’re not familiar with the Harry Potter books, you’re probably thinking something along the lines of what Harry replied to the person who told him this.
I have read all of the books in order four times and have read some of the earlier books many more times than that, so I knew that going to a midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 wasn’t an option. It was a necessity.
Before we went to the movie at the Rosebud, some of my friends came over for a Harry Potter themed party so that we could eat and get ready for the movie by putting on our Harry Potter costumes.
We went completely all out. Scars, ties, fake eyelashes, brooms, wands, and scarves were all a part of our costumes. Even my dog had a Gryffindor tie.
Our party included treats like butter-beer (cream soda and butterscotch), cockroach clusters (chow-mien noodles and chocolate) and pumpkin juice (apple cider and cinnamon sticks).
We had a ton of fun and we all agreed that the movie was great!
